Playstation network status

As several players have recently experienced consoles getting enemy the moment bricked due to a recent message bug.

Here are the steps to troubleshooting PlayStation Network the issue:

1) Restart your router or PS4

Restarting your router and PlayStation 4 usually fixes most problems! Do a hard reset by turning it off and removing the power supply. Wait 10 seconds and plug it back in.

Before turning your PS4 back on be sure your router is turned off. Turn on your PS4 and then your router.

2) Change DNS Settings

• Firstly, Go to the PS4 Menu -> Settings -> Network -> Set Up Internet Connection.
• Select WIFI or LAN cable.
• Set DNS Settings to manual and use 8.8.8.8 as the primary DNS and 8.8.4.4. as the secondary DNS.
• Set MTU Settings (Automatic) > Proxy Server.

3) Change WIFI transmission mode

If your WIFI can’t connect to the WIFI you should try the following fix that worked for many users online. Drop the WIFI transmission mode to 54 MBit/s in the router setup.

4) Disable N Mode on your WIFI settings

• Disabling N mode in your router wireless settings solved their connection problems. Go to your WIFI settings on your router and disable N mode.
• Reset your router to default settings.
• Reset your router to default settings and connect to the WIFI again on PS4.

PSN network down status

The unplanned outage affects all PlayStation Network features, as well as games, messaging, videos, account management, and several other facets of the experience. 1) Check Your Internet Connection

Confirm that you can connect to the Internet from your location using your home pc, on the same network. If you can’t connect to the Internet, you’ll require contacting your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for additional help on your account/connection. Sony Interactive Entertainment, LLC doesn’t have access to your ISP account settings.

2)   Wireless Specific Troubleshooting

Verify that you can connect to your wireless network with your WEP or WPA security password. If you don’t know how to operate or access your wireless modem, you will require contacting the manufacturer of the equipment directly.

3)   Power Cycle Router

Unplug PlayStation console and router from wall or power strip for 2 minutes. Then, plug them back in and power on your console to see if you can connect to the Internet.

If you are not sure of how to open the ports on your modem, contact your Internet Service Provider or router manufacturer for proper directions.

 

Step 1: Check the list of ports based on your PlayStation console or service.

Step 2: Be sure to enable these TCP/UDP ports in BOTH directions and are entered into the TCP and UDP port fields in your modem.
