Sony Crackle Not Working | Why Crackle Not Working on Device

What’s better than streaming video content on-demand? Streaming it for free of cost, of course. And free streaming is the call of the game in the ad-supported video on demand (AVOD) streaming space. There’s no shortage of streaming video services in market, however, most of them have something in common: they’ll either charge you a chunk of money through a monthly subscription charge, or you’ll require plugging in a cable or satellite login – which charges even more money – to access some or all of the content.

Sony Crackle is a TV streaming service launched in 2007 by Sony Pictures Entertainment. Presently, the service is available in 21 countries across the Americas and is available on smart TVs, desktops, smart phones, and tablets. The service, originally known as Grouper, provides gender-specific lists of televisions, films, and originals that can be viewed with a free membership. Users who are logged in can also add songs to watch later, and set alerts to keep up with the episodes.

Crackle not working what to do

Sony Crackle not working – Second method:

1. Reactivate your device

You can resend the code to your device by simply going Menu Bar > My Sony Crackle > Activation.

An activation code must appear. Once you have it, follow any of the steps above to activate Crackle depending on the device you are using.

2. Change your HDMI cable

Using an older HDMI cable can cause the code to not show. If you’re using a media streaming device, unplug your HDMI cable for about 30 sec then plug it back in. If the code doesn’t show, change the cable and retry.

If you are using Apple TV, firstly, go to Settings > Audio/Video > TV Resolution, and choose “Auto“. If this doesn’t work, move to the next step.

3. Switch from Dark Mode

Sometimes, your activation code must be displayed in a darker color, which makes it impossible for you to see the code. Switch from Dark Mode or increase your TV or Monitor’s brightness in order to see the code.
